On Saturday the 20th of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.

21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, and 3 citizens of Kazakhstan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. At the Silene Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Tajikistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 6 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 4 - of Belarus, 3 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Italy and 1 - of Germany.
