Events at the state border and within the country - January 15, 2018

On Monday the 15th of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 27 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The person was returned to the exit country.At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia and 1 citizen of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Tajikistan, 1 - of Azerbaijan and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
