On Monday the 1st of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 28 offenders at external borders and within the country.
9 trespassers were detected at external borders. At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visas or residence permits. The person was returned to the exit countries.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 citizen of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 12 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Estonia.
