On Tuesday the 20th of February, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 30 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from London who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1974, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Pāternieku Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The person was returned to the exit country.At the Pāternieku Border Control Point 1 minor Latvian citizen who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the second parent for his independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from Latvia.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Ukrain, 1 - of Armenia and 1 - of Estonia.
