On Monday the 12th of February, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, leaving Latvia by lorry, was detained for use of forged driving licence. The criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered from London, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1989, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Terehova Border Control Point 3 citizens of Uzbekistan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries. At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia and 2 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 3 of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Azerbaijan, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Kazakhstan.
