On Friday the 9th of February, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova Border Control Point 3 citizens of Serbia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of health compulsory insurance policies. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Russia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 4 - of Belarus, 2 - of Kazakhstan, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Ukraine 1 - of Latvia.
