On Thursday, the 1st February 2018 State Border Guard officials detected 33 offenders at external borders and within country.

At Riga International Airport border control point have been detected 2 citizen of Latvia, arrived from Leeds, who are wanted by police. Both men born in 1978 and 1979 has been apprehended and handed over to officials of the State Police.At border control points "Pāternieki" entry into the territory of Latvia has been refused for 1 citizen of Ukrain, as foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. Person has been returned to the country of exit.At Riga International Airport border control point have been detected 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Kazahstan, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Canada, who were violating the conditions of residence (residence after expiry of residence permit indicated in visa, absence of valid visa or residence permit) in Schengen countries. Proceeding against 2 citizens of Kazahstan and 1 citizen of Belarus has not been commenced, the other persons were subjected to administrative liability.Performing immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were committed by 8 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukrain, 1 - of Chile and 1 - of Latvia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and water transport 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Estinia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Germany.
