On Wednesday the 18th of December, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 25 offenders at external borders and within the country.

10 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Silene Border control Point 1 citizen of Belarus (woman) was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has already resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Sri Lanka.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Estonia.
