Events at the state border and within the country - December 13, 2019

On Friday the 13th of December, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 32 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Tajikistan and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Azerbaijan were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 1 citizen of India, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Belarus.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Kazakhstan, 3 - of Russia, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Tajikistan, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Macedonia.
