On Sunday the 1st of December, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

3 foreigners with forged documents were detected

While carrying out the profiling of passengers at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Iran, who presented forged Greek Identity Card, 1 citizen of Syria with forged Romanian ID Card and 1 citizen of Afghanistan with a Swiss Passport of another person, were detected. Criminal proceedings were commenced for the use of forged documents and for concealing personal identity, if it has been committed for the purposes of avoiding criminal liability or administrative liability or of committing a criminal offence, or for the purpose of helping another person to avoid criminal liability or administrative liability. All persons were placed in a State Police short-term detention facility.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Azerbaijan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states, as well as 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners have already resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Grebņeva and the Silene Border Control Points 1 citizen of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Azerbaijan and 3 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 7 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia and 1 - of German.
