On Friday the 31st of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.

21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

9 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene Border Control Point and the Port of Ventspils 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of India were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Grebņeva and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 6 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. Regarding the citizen of India a letter of guarantee has been taken from the master of the vessel that the woman will not get off the vessel during its stay at the port, while the other persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Azerbaijan, 1 - of Georgia and 2 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Azerbaijan was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 4 citizens of Ukraine, 2 - of Lithuania and 1 - of India.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of India.
