Events at the state border and within the country - August 27, 2018

On Monday the 27th of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 8 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Azerbaijan.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Great Britain and 1 - of Belarus.
