On Friday the 23th of August, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 33 offenders at external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 persons, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from Amsterdam and at the Riga Passenger Port 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from Sweden, who are on the Police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1994 and 1997, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 4 citizens of Belarus were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Kirgizstan, 3 - of Russia and 3 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 2 citizens of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Nigeria, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Belarus.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia -3 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Belarus, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
