On Sunday the 19th of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 54 offenders at external borders and within the country.

28 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Dublin, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The woman, born in 1991, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 14 foreigners

At the Zilupe, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 10 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Georgia and 1 - of Azerbaijan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (female), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 16 persons - 8 citizens of Lithuania, 5 - of Russia and 3 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of the Netherlands.
