On Sunday, the 18th of August State Border Guard officials at the external border within the country detected 33 offenders.

Detained two people in search

At "Riga" airport Border Control point detected one from Doncaster and one from London incoming two Latvian citizens, which are in police search. Men, which was born in 1993 and 1991, was detained and handed over to the State Police.

Entry in to Latvia was denied to 2 foreigners

At "Riga „Border Control point entry in to Latvia was denied to two Thai citizens, because foreigners had not have valid visa or residence permit. Persons were returned to the country of departure.

Breach of the stay requirements identified to 6 foreigners

At Pāternieku and "Riga" airport Border Control points detected one Russian, one Ukraine and 4 Georgian citizens, which was violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen area. (Didn't have valid visa or residence permit or exceeded the stay period in visa) Against to the one Russian and three Georgian citizens decision initiated administrative proceeding have not had begun. Other persons have been called to administrative liability.

With framework of vehicles and vessels operations, The State Border Guard officials for violations was called to administrative liability 14 persons - 5 Russian, 4 Latvian, 2 Ukraine, one Belarussian, one Lithuanian and one Moldavian citizen.
