Events at the state border and within the country - August 17, 2018

On Friday the 17th of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 43 offenders at external borders and within the country.

19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Russia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia entered Latvia from Russia, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1957, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 10 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 7 citizens of Uzbekistan and 3 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 5 citizens of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Belarus was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of German was refused exit from Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of German, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 7 citizens of Russia, 5 - of Latvia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Armenia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of German and 1 - of Estonia.
