On Friday, 16 August State Border Guard officials at the external border within the country detected 49 offenders.

Detained one citizen of Latvia in search

At "Riga" airport Border Control point detected one Latvian citizen who came from Doncaster, who is in search of the police. Man was born in 1980. Man was detained and handed to the State Police officials.

Entry in to Latvia was denied to 10 foreigners

At Teherovas, Silenes and Pāternieku Border Control points entry in to Latvia was denied to one Russian, one Belarussian and 3 Ukraine citizen's, because they had not have valid visa or residence permit. Meanwhile, at "Riga" airport, Vientuļu and Pāternieku Border Control points entry in to Latvia was denied to one Russian and three Ukraine citizens, because foreigners were not able to justify the purpose of staying and hey had not have sufficient live hood for visiting Schengen countries. Persons were returned to country of departure.

Breach of staying requirement identified to 11 foreigners

At Teherovas, Pāternieku, Silenes and "Riga" airport Border Control points detected three Russian, five Ukraine, one Belarussian, one Kirghizstan and one Georgian citizens, which was violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen state. (Didn't have valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the stay period indicated in visa or exceeded visa - free specified period of stay) Administrative proceeding in administrative violation case were not initiated to two Ukraine citizens, other persons were subjected to administrative liability.

Exit from the country was denied to on Latvian citizen

At "Riga" airport Border Control point detected one Latvian citizen, who had not have valid travel documents. Person are forbidden to leave the country.

Immigration control measure the country violations of entry or staying regulations were detected to 4 persons - 2 Lithuanian, one Russian and one Moldavian citizen.


With framework of vehicles and vessels operations, The State Border Guard officials for violations was called to administrative liability 14 person's - 5 Belarussian, 2 Russian, one Estonian, two Latvian, one Polish, one Lithuanian and one Ukraine citizen.
