On Tuesday the 14th of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 49 offenders at external borders and within the country.

22 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 persons with forged documents were detected

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Senegal, entered Latvia by train and presented forged German visa, was detected. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia entered Latvia with forged Polish border crossing marks
stamped in the passport was detected. The both persons were subject to administrative liability and were returned to the exit countries.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country, as well as they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 5 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Armenia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the 2 citizens of Russia and 1 citizen of Armenia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

2 persons were refused exit from Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the second parent for his independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected and 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the parents for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected as well. The persons were refused exit from Latvia.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 10 persons - 7 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Lithuania, 4 - of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 2 -of Russia, 1 - of France and 1 - of Ukraine.
