On Sunday the 11th of August, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 48 offenders at external borders and within the country.

21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 persons, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

In the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point and Port of Ventspils 1 non-citizen of Latvia and 1 citizen of Latvia, who are on the Police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1982 and 1986, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Silene, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine and 2 - of Azerbaijan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 3 - of India and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 18 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 11 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Latvia, 2 - of Moldova and 1 - of Estonia.
