On Saturday the 3rd of August, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 55 offenders at external borders and within the country.

23 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Serbia entered Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged Macedonian Driving Licence, was detected. Criminal procedure was initiated for the use of forged documents. The person was placed in a State Police short-term detention facility.

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from Manchester, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1988, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Tajikistan, who was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, was detected. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has already resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 1 foreigner

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 3 - of Estonia, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Turkmenistan.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 23 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 4 - of German, 3 - of Russia, 3 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Uzbekistan, 2 - of Georgia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Kazakhstan and 1 - of Lithuania.
