On Friday the 3rd of August, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 60 offenders at external borders and within the country.

30 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

6 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document and 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 2 Serbian citizens were refused entry into Latvia as they, as they were not in possession of compulsory health insurance policy. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 15 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 7 citizens of Kazakhstan, 4 - of Uzbekistan, 3 - of Russia, 1 - of and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Kazakhstan was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

2 Latvian citizens were refused exit from Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 minor citizens of Latvia, who were travelling with father but were not in possession of birth certificates or their notarized copies (in the travel document of the accompanying adult a note on relationship to the child is absent), were detected. The persons were refused exit from country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 11 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 4 - of Estonia, 1 - of Latvia and 1- of Poland.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 19 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 4 - of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 2 - of Estonia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of German and 1 - of the Czech Republic.
