On Monday, the 29th of April 2019 State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within country.

18 trespassers were detected at the external borders, inter alia:

Two citizens of the Republic of Latvia in wanted list were detained

At the border control points in the Riga International Airport and in the Riga International Passenger Port detected one from London and one from Stockholm arriving citizen of the Republic of Latvia at the moment in wanted list. Both men born 1996 and 1972 was detained and handed over to State Police officials.

Entry into the Republic of Latvia has been refused for nine persons

At the border control point "Terehova" entry into territory of the Republic of Latvia has been refused for 7 citizens of Russia as foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the border control point in the Riga International Airport entry into the Republic of Latvia has been refused to 1 citizen of Ukraine, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry and was not into possession of sufficient funds to visit the Schengen area. Also entry has been refused for one more citizen of Ukraine due to denial of entry in Schengen area. All persons returned to the country of departure.

Three persons detected violating residence conditions

At the border control points "Grebņeva", "Pāternieki" and in the Riga International Airport detected 1 citizen of Russia, 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 citizen of Tajikistan who violated condition of the residence in Schengen area (invalid visa or residence permit, exceeded in visa allowed period of stay). Persons had been subjected to administrative liability.

Performing immigration control activities within the country violation of entry or residence conditions into the Republic of Latvia have been detected for 2 citizens of Estonia, 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Latvia and 1 citizen of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and water transport the State Border Guard of Latvia subjected to administrative liability 12 persons - 5 citizens of Latvia, 3 citizens of Lithuania, 2 citizens of Russia and 1 citizen of Ukraine, 1 citizen of Belarus.
