On Monday, 23rd April, 2018 the officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia have detected 46 offenders at external borders and within the country.

29 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

• 2 wanted persons were detained:

At "Riga'" Air Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, who were on the State Police's wanted list, from whom one wanted to travel to London, another to Istanbul were detected. Man born in 1998 and 1984 were detained and handed over to officials of State Police.

• entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to 12 foreigners:

At "Terehova" Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia were refused a right to enter the Republic of Latvia as they were not in a possession of valid visas or residence permits, at the same time at the "Paternieki" Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia as person did not have valid visa or residence permit as well as 9 citizens of Ukraine could not validate reason of their aim and reason of travel. Persons were returned to the country of exit.

• residence regulations were detected for 5 foreigners:

At "Terehova" , "Paternieki" and "Riga" Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 2 citizens of Tajikistan and 1 citizen of Belarus, who have violated residence regulations in the Schengen area (length of stay, specified in visa, was exceeded, no valid visa or residence permit), were detected. Persons are subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 5 citizens of Russia, 3 citizens on Lithuania and 1 citizen of Latvia.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard's officials detected offences committed by 8 persons - 2 citizens of Latvia, 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 citizen of Estonia, 1 citizen of Russia, 1 citizen of Belorussia, 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 citizen of Czech Republic.
