On Friday the 19th of April, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 44 offenders at external borders and within the country.

23 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

• 1 citizen of Uzbekistan with forged documents was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan entering Latvia by truck, who presented forged Uzbekistan Heavy Goods Vehicle Registration Certificate and Lithuanian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The forged documents were seized. The person was returned to the exit country.

• 2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point and the Riga Passenger Port 1 citizen of Latvia leaving Latvia for Russia and 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Sweden, who are on the Police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1971 and 1988, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

• 5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; as well as 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 - of Armenia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 2 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Belarus, 4 - of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Rumania.
