On Wednesday the 18th of April, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1987 and 1990 were detained and handed over to State Police officers. At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point and Paternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Georgia and 1 of Ukrain were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the Schengen zone, at the Paternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukrain was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states, while at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners have a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit country.At the Silene Border Control Point and during imigration control at the Riga Passenger port 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Turkey, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Belarus was not commenced, citizen of Turkey subject to administrative liability.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point have been detected 1 non citizen of Latvia without valid travel document and 1 citizen of Latvia with travel document, which is not valid for traveling outside the Schengen area. Departure from country have been refused for the mentioned persons.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 2 citizens of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Tajikistan, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Belarus, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Lithuania.
