On Tuesday the 17th of April, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova and Grebneva Border Control Point 3 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, while at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the Schengen zone. The persons were returned to the exit country.At the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. Persons subject to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 5 citizen of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Ukrain and 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 13 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Estonia and 2 - of Latvia.
