On Sunday the 15th of April, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 52 offenders at external borders and within the country.
25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
• 7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 7 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the Schengen zone as well as they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit country.
• Violations of resident conditions committed by 5 foreigners were detected
At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Russia and 1 citizen of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 citizens of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 19 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 5 - of Belarus, 3 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of Serbia and 1 - of Poland.
