On January 17, 2024 border guards stopped the illegal movement of tobacco products in Livani municipality.
On Wednesday verifying information about illegal movement of tobacco products, officials of the State Border Guard in Jersika Parish on the roadside of the A6 motorway – in the forest found 3 rectangular parcels wrapped in white polyethylene film.
When inspecting the packages, 24 320 cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps were found inside them.
Criminal proceedings were initiated regarding the abovementioned fact in accordance with Section 221(1) of the Criminal Law.
