On Thursday, July 5 in Daugavpils District 7 containers with 200 litres of liquid with characteristic odour of gasoil were seized and two Latvian citizens were detained.
The officers of the State Border Guard, during the inspection from the air of the railway section Indra-Daugavpils, in the Daugavpils region near the railway station "Naujena" noticed that fuel tanks were thrown out of the train entering Latvia, as well as they noticed two persons who collected the containers and put them into their car.
The citizens of Latvia, born in 1989 and 1988, were detained on the scene and 7 containers with 200 litres of gasoil were seized.
The men with the car and seized tanks were handed over to State Police officers.
