On January 14, 2020 in Daugavpils officials of the State Border Guard detained two Latvian citizens, who from the railway moved smuggling cigarettes, and seized 30 thousand "Queen Super Slims" cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps.
On Tuesday, checking the information on illegal movement of tobacco products, border guards in Daugavpils detained two men in the neighbourhood of a garage cooperative, who moved several packages wrapped in black polyethylene film.
In total, the border guards seized 30 000 "Queen Super Slims" cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps.
As the illegal movement of tobacco products has been conducted to a significant extent, criminal proceedings were initiated.
