On Monday, June 7, officials of the State Border Guard arrested four Iraq citizens for illegal board crossinfg in Kraslava Municipality.
Border guards of the Border Protection Department of the Daugavpils Administration of Piedruja, checked the information provided by the local inhabitants, carried out a search for offenders in the village Indra and detained four men who had previously illegally crossed the State border.
According to Section 284, Paragarph 2 of the Criminal Law regarding the intenational illegal crossing the State border by the persons group was initiated Criminal Procceding.
Citizens of Iraq have been detained in accordance with the prcedured laid down in the Immigaration Law and placed in the detention centre for detained foreigners ,,Daugavpils”.
We have to notify that this year this is the second group of persons who illegally crossed the State border, while last year 23 persons from the ,,third” countries were detained for intentional crossinf the ,,green” border.
