On Thursday the 5th of July, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 43 offenders at external borders and within the country.

 

24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Zilupe, the Grebņeva, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia and 2 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine (female) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

2 persons of Latvia were refused exit from country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 citizens of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Netherlands, 1 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Estonia.
