On Monday, July 27, the State Border Guard officers prevented 76 people from illegally crossing the Latvia-Belarus state border, in total this year 8890 people have been prevented from illegally crossing the state border.

25 violators were detected at the external borders and within the country, and 11 border violators were detected at the external borders.

• Entry into Latvia denied to one foreigner
At the Terekhova border checkpoint, entry into Latvia was denied to one Tajik citizen because the foreigner did not have a valid travel document. The person was returned to the country of origin.

• Violations of residence conditions were detected for six foreigners
Three Kazakh, two Uzbek and one Russian citizens were detected at the border control point of the Riga Airport, who had violated the residence conditions (no valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of residence specified in the visa, no valid travel document) in the Schengen area countries. The administrative violation case of the Kazakh and Russian citizens was not initiated, the other persons were held administratively liable.

• One Latvian citizen was denied exit from the country
One minor Latvian citizen traveling to Turkey was detected at the border control point of the Riga Airport, who did not have at least one parent's notarized consent for the child to leave the country independently. The person was denied exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or regulations were detected for four persons – two Pakistani, one Estonian and one Uzbek citizens.

State Border Guard officials have held 10 individuals administratively liable or prevented them from crossing the border for violations in the field of vehicle and vessel operation – two Latvian, two Moldovan, one Belarusian, one Israeli, one Kazakh, one Kyrgyz, one Tajik and one Uzbek citizens.
