On Sunday, October 18, officials from the State Border Guard on the external borders and inside the country identified 29 offenders.
24 border offenders have been identified at the external borders, including:
- Breach of residence conditions detected for 13 foreigners
Two Russian and 11 Georgian citizens were identified at the border control point of Terehova, Paternieki and Airport “Riga”, who had violated the conditions of residence (no valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the visa-free residence period) in the Schengen area countries. Proceedings in cases of administrative misconduct of four Georgian citizens were not initiated, other persons held to administrative responsibility.
- One Latvian citizen has been denied an exit from the State
One Latvian citizen, who did not have a valid travel document, was identified at the border control pointt of Riga airport. The person has been denied an exit from the State.
Officials of the State Border Guard called for administrative responsibility for violations in the field of the operation of vehicles and vessels or refused to cross the border with five persons – two Belarusian, one Russian, one Latvian and one Estonian citizen.
